The book before anyone else
Every chapter, complete and free, as I finish them. With the door open to suggest corrections, improvements or changes as we go: here the reader does not watch, the reader takes part in the work.
ΑΜΙΜΕΤΟΒΙΟΙ
Antony and Cleopatra founded a club. There was a single rule: every day, an excess worth telling. Two thousand years later I am opening its doors again — this time for readers.
The salon has limited seating · Few and good
In Alexandria, two thousand years ago, a Roman general and an Egyptian queen founded a society with a Greek name: the Amimetobioi, “those of the inimitable life”. They met every night and competed for the most memorable excess. When ruin came they did not dissolve the club: they refounded it under another name, Synapothanoumenoi, “those who will die together”. To the very end, and together.
I am writing their story. It is called Mark Antony and Cleopatra Philopator: The Life, Love and Death of the Inimitables, it opens my new series Roma Stupor Mundi and it comes out at Christmas 2026, in six languages.
And I do not want to write it alone.
This club brings together a small group of readers who will receive the book as it is being written: chapter by chapter, fresh from the desk, with the right to comment, correct and argue before anything is settled. You are not test readers: you are accomplices.
Admission is free. What I ask in return is judgement.
Every chapter, complete and free, as I finish them. With the door open to suggest corrections, improvements or changes as we go: here the reader does not watch, the reader takes part in the work.
The password to the reserved area: a hidden page on this site that appears in no menu and in no search engine. Only members know where the door is and hold the key that opens it.
The exact release date before it is announced anywhere else, and the special launch price for anyone who wants the paperback signed in my own hand.
The covers before they are published, so we can choose together. The interior illustrations. And the book's hidden soundtrack: one song for every important scene. There too you have a vote.
Leave your email. The key travels that way.
“Every day, an excess worth telling.” That was their rule. Mine is more modest: every chapter, a story you have not been told.
